Administrative Assistant

Part-time/16-24 hours/week

Mondays & Wednesdays

About us:

Greensburg Community Bread of Life is a non-profit agency. Since 2002, Bread of Life has rescued and received over 2 million pounds of food and transformed it into a nutritious, hot meal. We are a place of hunger relief and a safe haven of Christian fellowship showing all who enter our doors hope, love, and mercy. We provide a free nutritious meal for the working poor, jobless/homeless, elderly on a fixed income, and families in hardship or illness. We serve a free meal on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3pm to 5pm.


Role Overview:

The Bread of Life staff are responsible for setting the pace for a great shift, every shift. They provide dependable service in a Christ-centered atmosphere. They work with a volunteer crew that changes each day throughout the day. 


The Administrative Assistant will work closely with the Executive Director and the Executive Board as well as employees and volunteers. The Administrative Assistant will provide basic administrative and technical support to the organization.



  • Records all donations (food, monetary and in-kind) and send acknowledgments.

  • Acts as the main contact person of the general email account.

  • Responsible for all internal and external communication.

  • Manage website and other social media.


  • Great communication skills.

  • Detail oriented.

  • Enjoys working with people.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School diploma equivalency

  • Prefer 1-3 years experience


Additional Preferences:

  • Experience in Facebook and Canva
