Farmers Feeding the Flock: Growing Hope, One Acre at a Time
At Greensburg Community Bread of Life, we believe a harvest can nourish more than just the body; it can feed the spirit and build a stronger community. That’s why we’re proud to partner with local farmers and supporters through Farmers Feeding the Flock (FFF), an initiative that transforms fields into meals for neighbors in need.
How It Works:
✅ A local farmer donates acreage for planting.
✅ Local agricultural businesses and supporters contribute in-kind gifts and donations to help cover the costs of soil preparation, planting, fertilization, and harvest.
✅ After the growing season, the crops are harvested and sold.
✅ Every net dollar from the harvest goes directly to Bread of Life to fund meals and operations at our soup kitchen.

Thanks to this incredible partnership, Farmers Feeding the Flock has helped support vital services like:
-
Serving 2,500 meals a month to those facing food insecurity
-
Rescuing 3 million pounds of food (as of April 2025) from landfills to feed hungry neighbors
-
Providing operational funding that keeps our doors open to everyone in need
This year, we’re honored to partner with Cornerstone Agriculture, LLC (led by Jason Barnhorst and Kevin Weber), who will be planting 27 acres of corn- continuing the mission and legacy of this meaningful fundraiser.
Every donation makes a difference. Whether you’re sponsoring an acre, providing an in-kind gift, or making a financial contribution, your support helps us continue “faithfully serving together to meet our neighbors’ needs.”
