Utility Dish Attendant

About us:

Greensburg Community Bread of Life is a non-profit agency. Since 2002, Bread of Life has rescued and received over 2 million pounds of food and transformed it into a nutritious, hot meal. We are a place of hunger relief and a safe haven of Christian fellowship showing all who enter our doors hope, love, and mercy. We provide a free nutritious meal for the working poor, jobless/homeless, elderly on a fixed income, and families in hardship or illness. We serve a free meal on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3pm to 5pm.

 

Role Overview:

The Bread of Life staff are responsible for setting the pace for a great shift, every shift. They provide dependable service in a Christ-centered atmosphere. They work with a volunteer crew that changes each day throughout the day.

Responsibilities​:

  • Wash and clean pots, pans, cooking equipment, and tableware.

  • Keep the dish room and equipment clean and organized.

  • Work quickly to keep up with the pace of the kitchen.

  • General upkeep on rescue vans, including monthly cleaning or as needed.

  • Rescue food from local establishments.

 

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with good driving record.

  • Able to lift 40 lbs.

  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
