About us:

Greensburg Community Bread of Life is a non-profit agency. Since 2002, Bread of Life has rescued and received over 3 million pounds of food and transformed it into a nutritious, hot meal. We are a place of hunger relief and a safe haven of Christian fellowship, showing all who enter our doors hope, love, and mercy. We provide a free nutritious meal for the working poor, jobless/homeless, elderly on a fixed income, and families in hardship or illness. We serve a free meal on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3 pm to 5 pm.

 

Role Overview:

We are seeking a friendly, outgoing, and highly approachable Volunteer Coordinator to join our ministry team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, communicating with a variety of people, and keeping things organized behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, welcome, and support volunteers

  • Coordinate volunteer schedules and assignments

  • Communicate clearly with volunteers and staff

  • Maintain organized records and basic computer systems

  • Serve as a positive and encouraging point of contact for our volunteer community

 

Qualifications

  • Highly sociable and approachable personality

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Proficient computer skills

  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
